Unilever India wanted to provide an online avenue for the underprivileged youth across India to mentor them for soft skills that would prepare them for interviews and business roles. This would greatly enhance their potential income.The idea was to come up with an extensive platform that provided an immersive classroom environment and worked across devices.
The creation of RIN Career Academy by Unilever India as a platform saw 4,09,603 registrations along with 8.6 million minutes of content consumed with in a short span from launch. As a result it garnered an Asian category Gold at the IDMA awards. Additionally, It was replicated in countries outside India such as Thailand, S. Africa, Cambodia, Bangladesh and Brazil, maintaining the design and user experience framework provided by the original conceived in India.
